Accused Taijul Islam alias Fancy Taijul alias Fancy Taijul, who is included in the charge sheet number 123 of the murder case of Nabi Noor Moral, who was shot dead during the anti-discrimination student movement in Savar, has created intense excitement and anxiety in the area. Since he has not been arrested after a long time, many questions are being raised about the role of the law enforcement agencies.
Locals alleged that despite being an accused in several cases, he was avoiding the law by using political influence and identity change tactics. Due to this, the plaintiffs, witnesses and common people in the case are suffering from extreme insecurity.

According to the statement of the case, on the afternoon of July 20, 2024, an attack took place during the ongoing anti-discrimination student movement at the intersection of three roads of Wapda Road, adjacent to Savar Bazar Road. It is alleged that Taijul Islam alias Fancy Taijul was directly involved in the attack.
Nabi Noor Moral was shot and seriously injured during the attack. He was rushed to the hospital but died the next day while undergoing treatment. Later the victim's wife Akalima Begum filed a murder case at the Savar police station, where Taijul Islam was listed as an accused.
Walking in public, but no arrests
Anger is growing among the locals as he walks in public despite being a registered accused. According to local residents, he is regularly seen in the area, but the law and order forces have not yet taken any effective action.
A resident, who did not wish to be named, said,
"If the accused of the murder case is walking around in public like this, then how will the common people get security?"
Allegations of changing political identity to avoid arrest
The investigation revealed that Taijul Islam is currently identifying himself as a BNP leader, although he was previously actively associated with Awami League politics. Locals alleged that he was trying to gain influence and avoid arrest by changing his political identity.
According to locals, this change of identity is planned and may affect the investigation of the case.
Evidence of closeness with Awami League leaders?
According to sources, a photo of Dhaka district Awami League Joint General Secretary Fakhrul Alam Samar giving flowers went viral on social media, where Taijul Islam is seen.
Apart from this, it is also alleged that the photo courtesy of posters and leaflets with a UP chairman and upazila Awami League organizing secretary Liaquat Islam has been used in various places.
Locals said that he had close relations with various influential Awami League leaders and he was known as the Awami League leader in the area for a long time.
The safety of plaintiffs and witnesses is at risk
Plaintiffs and witnesses of the case are in the most fear as the accused in the murder case is in public. They fear that they can be threatened or pressured at any time.
A local person said, "If the accused is outside, how will the witnesses speak?" Justice becomes uncertain.
