Md. Kamal Hossain Benapole (Jassore). Representative: Benapole: Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament election, an unprecedented courtyard meeting was held by Nizampur Union BNP at the Keralakhali-Paria Ghop Secondary School ground in Nizampur Union No. 11 under Sharsha Police Station, which turned into a huge public meeting in an instant. Leaders, activists and ordinary people from all sides flooded the field.
Mr. Mofiqul Hasan Tripti, the BNP candidate for the 13th National Parliament election from Jessore-1 (Sharsha) constituency, former MP and former central office secretary of the party, was present as the chief guest at the event.
The meeting was presided over by Nizampur Union BNP General Secretary Nurul Alam Ata and moderated by former president of the Union Chhatra Dal Mohammad Ali.
Sharsha Thana Chhatra Dal leader Roni Ahmed, Union Volunteer Dal member secretary Sumon Kabir, Sharsha Thana Jubo Dal convener Asaduzzaman Asad, Nizampur Union Jubo Dal leader Mohammad Ali, Thana Jubo Dal senior joint convener Al Mamun Bablu, Thana Jubo Dal convener Rakibul Hasan Ripon, Union BNP organizing secretary Ansar Ali, Jessore District Jubo Dal joint convener and Thana Jubo Dal member secretary Imdadul Haque Imdad, Upazila BNP women's affairs secretary Parul Akhter, Central Volunteer Dal member Saiduzzaman Laltu, former Union BNP chairman Sirajul Islam Tarafdar, Benapole Municipality BNP vice-president Shahabuddin and president Nazimuddin, and many other leaders spoke at the meeting. The speakers said that the development, employment and humanitarian assistance that Mofiqul Hasan Tripti has implemented in the Sharsha region despite not being an MP is unprecedented; his organizational skills and generosity have made him a symbol of the people's unwavering trust. Therefore, they called for him to be elected again.
In his speech, Mofiqul Hasan Tripti said that there have been various conspiracies to weaken the nationalist party, but the people have not accepted any of the conspiracies. He clearly stated that there was no 'PR' in the Constitution of Bangladesh, there is no and there will be no in the future. Addressing Jamaat-e-Islami, he said that they are capitalizing on religion and selling fake tickets to paradise—this is a business of religion, the outcome of which is nothing but the wrath of Allah. He further said that Charmonai Pir, who had long claimed that he did not accept Jamaat's ideology and Maududiism, is now standing by Jamaat, which is a prime example of their duplicity. Addressing the younger generation, he said that due to 17 years of repression and distortion of history, many do not know the contribution of BNP. Ziaur Rahman was the proclaimer of independence, brought about a change in the country's political culture through fair elections. Garment industry, earning foreign exchange, canal excavation program - all of them were his groundbreaking initiatives. Ziaur Rahman was uncompromising in confronting India from the Farakka issue to South Talpatti. His initiative in the unity of the Muslim world during the Iran-Iraq war pushed him towards being assassinated in an international conspiracy. He recalled the contribution of Begum Khaleda Zia and said that she made education free for girls, provided scholarships, established the Directorate of Youth Development and took numerous positive steps for the development of the country.
When elected as an MP, he promised to build new buildings in all educational institutions in Sharsha, assist in enrolling MPOs, provide suitable jobs to educated youth, provide unemployment allowance until employment is secured, provide training and employment for mothers and sisters, zero tolerance against extortion and brokering, provide a modern transportation system, and digitalize Benapole Port. He firmly said, “We are Ziaur Rahman’s soldiers—we will not bow our heads to anyone; if we are on the path of honesty and justice, the people are our strength.”
Present were Sharsha Thana BNP Legal Affairs Secretary Mashiur Rahman, Joint Information and Research Secretary Ataur Rahman Ata, Benapole Municipal BNP Organizing Secretary Abdul Ahad, Senior Joint Secretary Meherullah, Municipal Volunteer Party Convener Shahidul Islam Shahid, District Krishak Dal member Alamgir Hossain Tipu, Senior Joint Convener of Volunteer Party S.M.A. Haque, District Chhatra Dal Vice President Shahanur Rahman Shaon, Former Vice President of Dhaka College Chhatra Dal Mohammad Biplob Mondal, Sharsha Thana Chhatra Dal Joint Convener Biplob Hossain, Benapole Municipal Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed Shaon and a large number of leaders and activists.
