Md. Kamal Hossain Benapole (Jessore)
Representative: The name whose name is mentioned first in the history of politics in the southwestern part of the country is the late Tariqul Islam. This leader, one of the pioneers of BNP politics, was a successful politician and popular public leader. During his long political life, he used to dream and show dreams about his birthplace Jessore. Therefore, when the BNP government was formed or when he himself was elected, the people of Jessore were never deprived. He took Jessore to new heights with the touch of development.
Regardless of party affiliation, the people of this district still remember his development activities with deep respect. Therefore, in any discussion of Jessore's development or political arena, Tariqul Islam's name spontaneously comes up. On November 5, 2018, the day of his eternal farewell, the Jessore Eidgah Maidan turned into a sea of people. This popular leader bid farewell to a huge crowd.
These were the words of Mofiqul Hasan Tripti, former MP of Jessore-85 Sharsha-1 constituency, at a memorial meeting organized in front of the Sharsha party office on Tuesday to mark the 7th death anniversary of the late Tariqul Islam.
Mofiqul Hasan Tripti was the chief guest at the event.
