Md Kamal Hossain Benapole (Jeshore) Correspondent: During the anti-drug operation in Sharsha of Jessore, a police constable named Abul Hossain was injured by the stabbing of a drug case accused. The injured constable was given first aid at Sharsha Upazila Health Complex.
The incident took place in Burujbagan area of Sharsha Union during a late night raid on Saturday (November 15).
According to the police, a team of Sharsha police station raided the Buruj Bagan area late at night to arrest a suspect wanted in a drug case based on tip-off. At that time, when the police caught the accused Rubel, he stabbed Constable Abul Hossain and ran away.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sharsha police station Abdul Alim said that there are five drug cases in Rubel's name. Efforts are being made to arrest Rubel. The injured policeman is currently recovering.
