The 19th annual general meeting and triennial election of the executive council of the Palsha Maheshpur Water Management Cooperative Association-2025 were held in Chapainawabganj. Baliadanga UP Chairman Md. Abu Hena Ataul Haque Kamal addressed the annual general meeting held on the premises of the association on Saturday morning as the chief guest. Palsha High School Headmaster (retd) Md. Abu Bakar presided over the opening speech, and the association's president Md. Fazle Rabbi Renu delivered the opening speech. District Cooperative Officer Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Upazila Cooperative Officer Md. Anisur Rahman were present in the meeting. Meanwhile, the festive voting of the association started from 10 am and continued without interruption until 4 pm. 16 candidates contested against a total of 12 posts including the president and secretary. The total number of voters in the association is 1454. Md. Matiur Rahman, Deputy Inspector of Sadar Upazila Cooperative Office, acted as the Election Commissioner. The Election Commissioner announced the results, the newly elected president is Md. Fazaler Rabbi Renu and the secretary is Md. Amirul Islam. Also elected were Md. Abdul Mannan for the post of vice-president, Md. Shamsul Alam for the post of cashier, Md. Abu Bakkar, Md. Abdus Samad, Md. Abu Taleb, Ketabul Haque for the post of male member, and Md. Tania Khatun, Md. Sultana Begum, Md. Rina and Md. Ayesha Begum for the post of female member.
