A protest march and rally was held in Chapainawabganj for 5-point demands including issuing an order to implement the July Charter and organizing a referendum within November. They held a rally at Chapainawabganj Municipal Park on Friday afternoon at the initiative of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Chapainawabganj District Branch. The rally was addressed by District Jamaat Ameer Professor Maulana Abuzar Gifari, Nayeb Ameer and former Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Mokhlesur Rahman, Joint Secretary Professor Abul Hasan, Municipal Jamaat Ameer Hafez Golam Rabbani, Sadar Upazila Jamaat Ameer Hafez Abdul Alim, and Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir District President Abdul Aziz. The speakers said that elections should be held in February based on the July National Charter, the PR system should be introduced in the national elections, a level playing field should be ensured, the fascist government's oppression, torture and corruption should be tried, and the activities of 14 parties including the Jatiya Party should be banned. A deep conspiracy has begun against the country. There is a domestic and foreign conspiracy to thwart the July Revolution achieved at the cost of the lives of thousands of students and the public. We will take the nation to the right destination by confronting all conspiracies along with the people, InshaAllah. Later, the protest procession left from Bara Indara intersection, circled the important roads of the city and ended at Shanti More.
