Chapainawabganj Mahananda Battalion 59 BGB, under the initiative of BGB, BGB members are always working hard to protect the young generation and youth from the dangers of drugs and addiction. In continuation of this, yesterday (November 17) at approximately 7 pm, 01 special patrol team of Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB) Sonamasjid BOP conducted an operation in an area called 200 yards west of Koyla Bari intersection of Shahabajpur Union under Shibganj Police Station of Chapainawabganj district, approximately 200 yards from border pillar 184/4-S. In the said operation, the patrol team was able to seize a large quantity of ownerless narcotic tablets (Tapentadol tablets-500 pieces) and a bicycle. During the operation, the smugglers fled from the scene after sensing the presence of the BGB. Currently, the process of handing over the seized narcotic tablets to Shibganj Police Station after filing a GD is underway.
In this regard, Lt. Col. Golam Kibria, BGBM, BGOM, Commander of Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB), confirmed the truth of the matter. He also said that BGB members are always vigilant in the border areas to prevent the infiltration of any kind of narcotics from neighboring countries.
