Md. Kamal Hossain, Benapole: Former Chairman of Ulashi Union Parishad Alhaj Aynal Haque (65) of Sharsha Upazila of Jessore is no more. He breathed his last at New Life Cancer Hospital in Dhaka after 12 midnight on Thursday (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He had been suffering from cancer for a long time. At the time of his death, he left behind a wife, three sons, a daughter and numerous well-wishers.
Late Aynal Haque was the eldest son of Ilahi Box Morol, a traditional and respectable Muslim family of Kanyadah village in Sharsha Upazila of Jessore. He was the eldest among 7 brothers and 1 sister. He was associated with Awami League politics until the last day of his life.
The first funeral was held in Jhikargachha on Friday. Later, after the Asr prayers, the second funeral was held at the Hafezia Madrasa premises of his establishment in Kanyadah village, followed by the burial at the family graveyard. Locals, political colleagues and well-wishers attended both funerals.
The death of former chairman Aynal Haque cast a shadow of grief over the area. Throughout the day, social media timelines were filled with his memories, contributions and condolences. People from all walks of life, regardless of party affiliation, expressed their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased.
Shahriar Hossain Moon, the nephew of the deceased, wrote on Facebook, “May Allah grant my elder father Chairman Aynal Jannatul Firdous and give our family the strength to bear this grief.”
