Naogaon Correspondent:
BNP's primary nominated candidate Fazle Huda Babul is running an election campaign with Awami League allies after failing to attract BNP leaders and activists in Naogaon-3 constituency. Although the constituency is known as a BNP stronghold, BNP may lose the seat this time. Despite his best efforts, Fazle Huda Babul is unable to win the hearts of BNP leaders and activists. He is forced to hold various processions, meetings and election campaigns with Awami allies and by hiring people.
Meanwhile, Trinamool activists complain that they are having a hard time passing their days because Parvez Arefin Siddiqui Johnny, the son of former Deputy Speaker Akhtar Hamid Siddiqui, who is the lifeblood of BNP in this constituency and the BNP's nominee in 2018, was not nominated.
In an election campaign, it was seen that the wife of the candidate of the primary nominated 48 Naogaon 3, who received the nomination, along with the leader who spent 102 days in jail, Badalgachi Sadar Union Awami League Cultural Secretary Shri Uttam Kumar Roy, former member, Salim Uddin Tarafdar's son-in-law, Badalgachi Sadar Union Ward No. 9 Awami League leader Md. Yunus Ali Mandal and Awami League's Doshor Shukhendranath of the same ward, conducted a campaign of rice sheaves.
Which has created criticism among BNP leaders and workers. Many are expressing their hatred for the matter.
A ward BNP president complained that because I live with Parvez Arefin Siddiqui Johnny Bhai, Fazle Huda Babul's people no longer call me for political work. Even if there is a political program, they do not tell me.
Another union BNP leader said, "I used to live with Mahadevpur Upazila BNP President Alhaj Rabiul Alam Bullet Bhai, but now Huda leaders and activists are behaving violently with me."
On the other hand, the general voters of this constituency say, "Although we support BNP, we are not satisfied with BNP's nomination of Fazle Huda Babul. If the candidate does not change, then we will vote for Jamaat this time."
Note: Jamaat is ahead in popularity in this constituency compared to BNP's primary nominated candidate Fazle Huda Babul. Except for BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, no other party's election campaign has been seen.
