Representative: Border Guard Bangladesh BGB has conducted a raid at the Benapole border in Jessore and seized illegal smuggled goods.
On Monday (November 17), a day-long BGB special patrol team, Benapole BOP, Benapole ICP and Amrakhali check post conducted an anti-smuggling operation in the border area and seized Indian sarees, blankets, shawls, chocolates, food items and cosmetics.
The value of the seized goods is 3,19,100/-(three lakh nineteen thousand one hundred). Taka.
In this regard, Jessore Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Saifullah Siddiqui said that for a long time, BGB has been conducting intelligence activities and operational activities in the border area as per a special plan to arrest drug and contraband smuggling gangs.
In continuation of this, Jessore Battalion is able to seize drugs and various types of contraband by conducting regular operations in the border areas under its responsibility.
BGB officials said that such operations of BGB will always continue on the border.
