Md. Kamal Hossain Benapole (Jashore) Correspondent: Border Guard Bangladesh BGB has seized narcotics and illegal smuggled goods by conducting an operation at the Benapole border in Jessore.
On Thursday (November 20), a day-long BGB special patrol team, Benapole BOP and Benapole ICP conducted an anti-smuggling operation in the border area and seized Indian sarees, blankets and cosmetics.
The value of the seized goods is 1,34,200/-(one lakh thirty-four thousand two hundred). Taka.
Jessore 49 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Saifullah Siddiqui said that for a long time, intelligence activities and operational activities have been continuing in the border area as per the special plan of BGB to arrest smuggling rings including narcotics and smuggled goods.
In continuation of this, the Jessore Battalion is being able to seize narcotics and various types of smuggled goods by conducting regular operations in the border areas under its responsibility.
BGB officials said that such operational activities of the BGB on the border will always continue.
