Md. Kamal Hossain Benapole (Jashore) Representative: Cooperatives will build the country through equality and equity. Keeping this slogan in mind, the 54th National Cooperative Day-2025 was celebrated in colorful arrangements by the Sharsha Upazila Administration and Cooperative Department.
On the occasion of the day, on Saturday (November 1), at 10 am, the national and cooperative flags were hoisted at the beginning of the day under the chairmanship of Sharsha Upazila Cooperative Officer Mohd. Abdur Rashed. Thereafter, a colorful rally was taken out. The rally left the Upazila Parishad premises and circled the main roads of Sharsha. After this, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Upazila Executive Officer Kazi Nazib Hasan was present as the chief guest at the event. Abdul Alim, Officer-in-Charge of Upazila Sharsha Police Station, was also the special guest. The speakers said that it is possible to boost the rural economy and awaken the spirit of unity and equality among the people through cooperatives. They also mentioned that the cooperative movement is playing an important role in the overall development of the country.
At the end of the discussion, awards were distributed among the best cooperative organizations and entrepreneurs. Members of various cooperative associations, public representatives, teachers and journalists were present at the event.
