Md. Kamal Hossain, Benapole (Jashore) Correspondent: 507 bottles of Indian Winserex syrup have been seized in a BGB operation at the border. On Tuesday (November 11, 2025), members of Khulna 21 BGB Battalion seized the consignment from Kaiba and Goga BOP areas of Sharsha upazila of Jessore in a separate operation.
Khulna 21 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Mohammad Khurshid Anwar said that the BGB's regular operations against smuggling and drug dealers have been intensified. In continuation of this, a patrol team seized 389 bottles of Indian Winserex syrup without an owner in Kaiba BOP area and another 118 bottles in Goga BOP area in a separate operation, bringing the total quantity to 507 bottles. Preparations are underway to hand over the seized narcotics to the concerned Sharsha police station for further legal proceedings.
He further said, "BGB's intelligence surveillance has been further increased in anti-drug and smuggling activities. BGB is always vigilant to prevent any kind of illegal activities, including drug smuggling, in the country's border areas, and this operation will continue."
