497,500 children aged 9 months to 15 years will be vaccinated against typhoid in Chapainawabganj. An orientation workshop was held with media personnel at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner at 12 noon on Monday (October 6). Detailed information was given in this workshop.
The workshop organized by the District Information Office was attended by Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdus Samad as the chief guest. Deputy Director of the Local Government Department and Administrator of Chapainawabganj Municipality Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh, Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation Md. Golam Mostafa, Civil Surgeon Office Officer Dr. Syed Suman and District Information Officer Roop Kumar Barman also spoke at the event.
It was informed in the workshop that the month-long typhoid vaccination program will start in the district from October 12. Through this campaign, the health department, local administration and various organizations will work together to bring all children in the district under the ambit of vaccination.
The speakers said that this vaccination program is a groundbreaking initiative to prevent typhoid in children, which will play an important role in reducing child mortality and improving the quality of public health.
