Jhalakathi Correspondent: Barrister Moin Firozi, a member of the Bangladesh Constitution Reform Commission and a BNP nomination aspirant for Jhalakathi-1 (Rajapur-Kantalia) constituency, distributed leaflets and held a public meeting in Rajapur, Jhalakathi in support of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's 31-point program of state reform. On Tuesday (September 30) afternoon, he handed over leaflets to various shopkeepers in Galua Union of Rajapur Upazila, including the general public, and sought votes in the next national parliamentary elections with the help of paddy ears. During the leaflet distribution, Rajapur Upazila BNP member and Galua Union BNP General Secretary Abual Hasan Chan Mia, Upazila Krishak Dal President Golam Faruk Mollah, Rajapur Sadar Union BNP President Matiur Rahman Tuku Mridha, Galua Union Krishak Dal President Kazi Hemayet, General Secretary Md. Jahangir, Galua Union Jubo Dal President Imam Hossain Sentu, Mathbari Union Jubo Dal President Haider Sikder and leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Krishak Dal and BNP were present with him. At that time, the common people welcomed the 31-point program of state reforms and expressed their support for the paddy sheaf symbol. Local businessmen, farmers, youth and people of different classes and professions exchanged greetings with Barrister Moin Firozi and appreciated his initiative.
Barrister Moin Firozi said, "There is no alternative to establishing justice, democracy, human dignity and equality in Bangladesh. The main challenge of the time is to protect the rights of the people, establish law and order and ensure good governance. And to implement this goal, the 31-point program announced by BNP Acting Chairman Deshnayak Tarique Rahman to repair the state structure is being implemented. These 31-point programs are not just a political program, but rather a guideline for the nation, which promises to guarantee fundamental rights of the people, an independent judiciary, accountable administration and fair elections."
