Six platoons of BGB members have been deployed to secure the Durga Puja pavilion in the border area of Chapainawabganj. BGB members will provide round-the-clock security to the pavilion and surrounding areas until the puja is immersed. BGB officials say there is no risk of any untoward incident surrounding Durga Puja in the border area.
Six platoons of BGB members of 59 Mahananda Battalion will be deployed to secure Durga Puja in two upazilas (Shibganj and Bholahat) of Chapainawabganj. After inspecting several puja pavilions in the border area of Shibganj upazila on Wednesday afternoon, 59 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Golam Kibria said there is no risk of any untoward incident surrounding the puja in the border area. BGB members are regularly patrolling the pavilions in the areas under the responsibility of the battalion. Durga Puja is being celebrated in a very joyful and festive atmosphere in the pavilions of the border villages. BGB members are providing round-the-clock security to them. They will not allow any problem in organizing the joyous Durga Puja.
