Today, on May 8, World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Jean Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross, was born on May 8, 1829. His birthday is celebrated as World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day all over the world. Like every year, Adina Fazlul Haque Government College is celebrating the day with due dignity. The day's agenda included a colorful procession, blood group determination with the help of bandages, and a discussion meeting.
The procession of teachers and youth members ended at Shaheed Minar after circumambulating various streets of the college. A discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Principal Professor Dr. Syed Md. Mozaharul Islam on the premises of Shaheed Minar. The discussion was attended by Md. Asgar Hossain, Secretary of the Teachers' Council, and Md. Zillur Rahman, the teacher in charge of the Youth Red Crescent.
