A rally and discussion meeting was held in Chapainawabganj on the occasion of the Great May Day with the slogan "Workers and owners united to build this country anew". On Thursday, May 1, at 9:30 am, organized by the Chapainawabganj District Administration and Rajshahi Department of Factories and Institutions Inspection, the rally started from in front of the Deputy Commissioner and after patrolling important roads of the city, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdus Samad presided over the welcome speech and Deputy Inspector General of Rajshahi Department of Factories and Institutions Inspection Md. Jahangir Alam. Chairman of Nabab Auto Rice Mill Md. Akbar Ali spoke highlighting the significance of the Great May Day. President of Motor Workers Union Md. Saidur Rahman, General Secretary of Hotel Workers Union Md. Delwar Hossain Sabuj, among others, spoke on the rights and various demands of the workers.
Leaders from government, private, and various organizations were present at the rally and discussion meeting.
