During a search at the APBN police check post of Hoi Kyung Unchiprang No. 22 Rohingya camp in Teknaf, a border upazila of Cox's Bazar, an argument with a local youth led to an attack on the police. It is reported that 3 people, including a police officer, were injured during this.
The injured police members are ASI Kamal, Constable Md. Rimon and Md. Alamgir.
It is reported that on Monday (April 21) at around 10 am, while entering the Rohingya camp No. 22 in Teknaf, a search operation was underway at the APBN police check post, local Bengalis Ziabul Haque and Abdul Amin were entering the camp in a CNG (autorickshaw). While searching at the check post, the APBN police members were talking to the CNG driver when an argument broke out between the APBN police and the local Ziabul Haque and Abdul Alim.
At one stage, APBN police members ASI Kamal, Constable Md. Rimon and Md. Alamgir started beating them up in stages. Later, some of their associates came and attacked them with sticks. Later, the attackers fled.
Police Inspector Md. Mizanur Rahman of APBN Police Camp of Rohingya Camp No. 22 in Unchiprang said that during a search at the APBN police check post, local Ziabul and Abdul Amin attacked some other police officers. At that time, 3 people including a police officer were injured. A case is under process in this incident
