Based on a tip-off, a special team led by DNC Chapainawabganj Deputy Director Chowdhury Imrul Hasan Sir conducted an anti-drug operation in the Puran Bazar Swarnakar Patti area of the Municipality under Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station today, 26.04.2025 at 08.00 hrs. and arrested Md. Rima (27), wife of Md. Rabiul Islam, an accused in multiple cases, with 11 (eleven) kg of ganja. In another operation, Md. Rubel Hossain (26), son of the deceased Anu Mia of Jhelim Bazar Dargapara under Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station, was arrested with 500 (five hundred) grams of ganja.
Two separate cases have been filed against the accused, with Inspector Mr. Md. Elias Hossain Talukder and Sub-Inspector Mr. Khondaker Sujat Ali as plaintiffs.
