Two
people killed and injured in stabbings and dominance in Narail and Kalia
30 A person named Mosharraf Hossain Musa (45) was stabbed to death by miscreants in Narail Sadar Upazila. Ujjwal Roy, District Representative from Narail said that the incident took place on Saturday (April 12) morning in the new bus terminal area of the upazila. The deceased person is a resident of Dalijitpur village.
Police and local sources said that the person named Musa was stabbed to death in the new bus terminal area of Narail Sadar Upazila on Saturday morning. Later, local people rescued him and took him to Narail Sadar Hospital. After a while, the duty doctor of the emergency department declared him dead. However, it was not immediately known what incident led to his stabbing.
In this regard, Narail Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Sajedul Islam said that the police visited the scene after receiving information. The body of the deceased has been kept at the Narail Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further legal action is underway in this incident. On the other hand,

A person named Farid Molya (57) was killed in a clash between two parties over dominance in Kalia upazila of Narail. In addition, at least 30 people from both sides were injured.

The clash took place at around 6:30 pm on Friday (April 11) in Kanchanpur village of Babra-Hachla union of the upazila. Farid Molya died while undergoing treatment in Khulna that night.
According to police and local sources, there had been a long-standing dispute between the Milan Molya and Aftab Molya factions of Kanchanpur village of Kalia upazila over dominance. There have been several clashes in the past. There are also multiple cases pending against both parties in the police station. Tension has been prevailing in the village since Eid. Last Thursday (April 10) afternoon, a person named Sanwar from the Milan Molya faction was beaten up by the people of the Aftab Molya faction when he was alone on his way home after appearing in court in Narail. In this regard, on Friday evening, the people of the Milan Molya faction attacked Aftab Molya's house in front of the Kanchanpur Government Primary School. Later, after receiving information, both sides got involved in a clash with country-made weapons. In this, Farid Molya of the Aftab Molya group was seriously injured and died at the Khulna Medical College. At least 30 more people from both sides were injured during this time.
Kalia Police Station OC Md. Rashidul Islam said that additional police and army have been deployed in the area. The situation is now calm. Legal action is being taken in this incident.
