Among the numerous applications for the Skill-Based Entrepreneur Development Project, the As-Sunnah Foundation has received an application from someone who has 18 years of experience in making sweets.
The name of the illiterate man, who is suffering from poverty, is Alamgir Hossain. After working in someone else's hotel for 18 years, he has acquired outstanding skills in making black jam, cham cham, raj bhog, rosmalai, pillow sweet, and yogurt. Locals say that when Alamgir Bhai's hand touches it, the sweet becomes a work of art.
Alamgir Hossain is so poor that when his ancestral old house became uninhabitable, he could not repair it. He currently lives in Guchchagram, Belkati, Keshabpur, Jessore.
When he worked in someone else's hotel, he dreamed of one day having his own hotel. By selling his own sweets, he would bring prosperity to his family and earn the trust, love, and admiration of customers.
Finally, Alamgir Hossain's dream has come true. In the skill-based entrepreneurship development project of the As-Sunnah Foundation, a complete hotel has been prepared for Alamgir Hossain. That is, a hotel room, showcase, chairs and tables, along with all the equipment and raw materials for making sweets. Most of which are visible in the picture.
It cost 1 lakh 80 thousand taka.
Alamgir Hossain's family has 4 members, one son, one daughter, and husband and wife. Due to poverty, the son did not study. The son now works as a daily wage laborer.
We are optimistic about Alamgir Hossain. We believe that with our help and his outstanding skills in making sweets, this helpless family will soon see the face of prosperity.
It is worth noting that the As-Sunnah Foundation skill-based entrepreneurship development project is being run with Zakat money. You can donate a part of your Zakat to us to be a partner in changing the lives of such countless skilled yet helpless Alamgir Hossain.
