Murderers hacked to death Mohammad Nur (25), the head fisherman of Rohingya camp number 20 in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar.
The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday in the M-32 block of Rohingya camp number 20 in Rajapalong union of the upazila. Nur is the son of Abu Syed of that block.
Quoting some local residents, Additional DIG Md. Siraj Amin, commander of 14 Armed Police Battalion (APBN), said that Nur was returning to his house after completing Tarawih prayers at the mosque. On the way, miscreants hacked him indiscriminately. He died on the spot.
He said that miscreants had hacked Nur, who was killed last Ramadan, too. The murder could have been committed due to personal enmity. The real secret will be known after the investigation. Law enforcement agencies are working to bring those involved in the murder to justice.
Ukhia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arif Hossain said that Nur's body will be handed over to the family after the autopsy. Legal action is under process in this incident.
